Chat Box?

Dumb question time, what is this site's "Chat Ettiquite"?

There is a lot of Tech by a few people that are talking and it is getting buried.

I have suggested to them to start threads so others can search for it to no avail.

What say you all and knowing Mods?

If you did that, in my opinion the chatbox dies because everyone is in "Private Chats".

The "Clique" accusations fly and it turns into a mess.

Another thought is can the Mods have access to open a Private Chat Room for Military Personnel to talk to thier spouses on request?

I know a lot of Military people can't get access to IM's via Govie computers.

Emilio, you the expert on this, would we be bypassing the safeguards on something like this?
