You should be able to clear the CEL yourself by disconnecting the battery for 15-20 minutes and turning your headlight switch on just to make sure the system drains completely.

After reconnecting the battery, restart the car and observe whether the light comes back on or not within a reasonable amount of time, (10 minutes maybe?).

If the CEL comes back, you have something that might need attention. If it doesn't come back on, you're clear for take off!

mulethras, I have a diablo tuner I can read your code and clear it for you. What year is your car. I am not sure about a older car but it works if its a 05 or up

i have a xcal 3 and can clear and read it for you. plus what gt400 said about disconnecting works as well. or go to autozone and give them your drivers license for collateral they give you a code reader and clearer you can take to the parkint lot and do it yourself

I'm curious to see what happened after disconnecting the battery. If the CEL never came back, then all is good.

What happened? Inquiring minds want to know.

yeah, just diconnect the battery for a bit, then that should clear it, do you unplug your maf, thats what more than likely caused the light to go off when installing the cai
