how bout one more point.. if money wasnt an issue.. would you grab the z28 or the GT500(kr)(cs)...? and which would you pour insane amounts of money in regardless of WS allegiance :p

Yes, the walk in price without saying a word is $27, 978.

Cheapest Camaro SS Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet..... 38K

And the 401A has every option possible....I think it even does windows.

I would get the GT500 and Deliver it David Robinson in Oceanside and have him fix it up for me. I consider his builds the best in the business for design and function. If you attend the Bali Hai event on Sunday, he just might let you drive one.

Secondly I would pick the SMS car as my daily driver. Steve Saleen just knows how to build a performance car.

Lets keep all of this in perspective. Yes, the stock Z28 will be faster then the GT500. However, if you take the added cost of $7000 and place it into the GT500....enough said. Same can be said for the Camaro SS VS. the Mustang GT. Mustang GT = 30K, Camaro SS 40K. Give me 10K and the SS driver will be in tears.

Even idiots can make faster cars with more money....Heck GM did it!!!

yes but they come with a warranty use that extra moneys in the stangs i guarantee no more warranty

The stock 505 HP ZO6 vette barely puts 400HP to the rear tires. The GT500 puts 440+. GM always claims High and Ford always claims low. Problem for the Shelby and Camaro is the Fat they carry. Put it on a diet! My 71 429 SCJ weighs 400 LBS less!

stock 2005 and up mustang have been in the 13.5 13.6 range already... all i have seen out of chevy's 425 is 13.3 to 13.5... after 10 grand in a new stang... hello low 11's!

CHEVY'S are turds and always will be! just like the 4000lb GTO with 400 horse power... i use to destroy those things in my 300hp, 263hp to the wheels mach 1

If you're going to drive the least reliable cars in the country (DODGE), then yes go with the warranty!!

well, all i gotta say is i drove the ss camaro.....and it is one of the worst cars ive ever driven. sluggish....way to low of gearing. horrible sight lines. plain interior....for 40k....yeah, it looks cool, but thats about it.

and back on track with cheap cars....take a old fox...2500 bucks. throw 15-20k in it, and some overnight parts from japan (j/k) that will destroy all. ****, my little 200hp moose holds its own. look at bobby's car. 400hp runnin 10's

my dodge is running great and dodge diesel trucks have killed the competition in reliability thats what most ppl who sup up truks say they want the chevy tranny dodge engine and ford interior and exterior

ford interior....not a fan of the superduty interiors......but their load hauling abilities is amazing. i persionally like the GM interiors....more luxourious i think. even for a work truck.

I agree with you. This is why I am sticking with my 98 Cobra. It's paid for and everytime a new pony cars comes out with lots of hp, I just "invest" another $4K-5K or less at my 98 and I can still out run it. AND it is still paid for. Don't get me wrong, I love my Shelby and my Roush, but I am done tossing 40K at new cars. These are my last. In my opinion, there is nothing my current cars cannot do that any new Z28 or M5 or other can do. 700hp??? no problem, tap the bank for the cash on Whipple and my Shelby is there.

Everything is about numbers these days. I watched a recent tv show called "Pass Time". They had all of these 1000-1200RWHP Vipers on there. The owners barely knew what parts where put on them and couldn't get them down the track to save their lives. All they knew was the HP. Lately, it is all about the dyno numbers.

Same with all the cars coming out. Not which one is faster or built better, but how much they "say" they put out in hp. Don't get me wrong, power is great, but like my GT500, if it had another 50hp would be as important as Ford putting some tubular control arms, rather then some stamped steel piece of crap, so it can at least put the power down that it has.
