My car has acculmulated some pretty bad curb rash on the bottom of the front bumper over the last 3 years. As hard as i try to be careful and not pull to far forward when parking, the inevitable eventually happens.... So, I decided to repaint the chin portion of my bumper flat black since it would be pretty difficult to try and match the factory gloss.
I think it turned out pretty darn good!!!

Kinda spur of the moment.. I guess. Didnt really document the process. But its really simple, especially since my car is already black, I didnt have to do any primering. Just cleaned all the wax and grease etc.. off it and sanded it with like 600 grit paper. Used 100 grit on deep curb gouged areas and then went over those spots again w/ the fine grit. then used wax and grease remover again and painted. Good idea to tape off area that you dont want to sand before you start. And replace any tape you damage during sanding. Presto!!! Your bumper is new again!!
