Yeah, gonna talk to them about a few SERIOUS Lightning mods. Either them or Dante. I've known Dante for years.

Gonna talk to CPR next week.

Just got off the phone with Dustin and got a quote. About the same as other local shops. No better, no worse, right there in the ballpark and competitive.

I dunno anymore since you clued me in on the 8.8. If I park the truck and drive the stang more, then I spend more $$$ as it runs on premium whereas the Lightning has had regular in it for 7 years.

But that's no excuse is it?

Refilling my NOS on Friday, er wait....Maybe Tuesday since it's a holiday and I'm off.

I am going by there tommorow to pick up my tires. Well if you ace the truck your going to run prem gas right? I woudl expecialy while shooting nos. You know you could go the route i am with lighting up the front end of yoru stang woith skinnys and slicks add a 50 shot of NOS and you would be screaming. that way you still have your daily driver. With 4:10's in the car it would be dmn fast

Well, with the Lightning, yes, it would be premium fuel and about 2-3 degrees retarding on the timing if I add a 75shot of NOS.

If I put the gears in the Mustang and want to run NOS, I have to buy some expensive electronics (RPM switch-window switch) to turn the NOS on and off. On the Lightning, I used a micro switch on the throttle body that closed at WOT. Works on a mechanical TB but on the fly-by-wire, it doesn't work.

I suppose I could just go old-school and have a "button" to push when I'm at full throttle and hope for the best but that's not the best and brightest way of doing it.

I have a slightly modified tune for the Lightning retarding the timing and enrichening the fuel for NOS. But you can't drive it much on that tune so I have to upload it at the track and go back to stock to drive home.

I guess it all comes down to how much $$$ I wanna spend to not get creamed by you. LOL
