the ram is weak... the centerforce is the best.... its stiff for a reason

mine lasted two years drag racing at least once a month, not to mention i set it so it disengaged REALLY shallow. so it was hell on the clutch. i still got almost two years out of it. now that i dont race as much i will set this one to engage and disengage regular, like midrange maybe, and it will prolly last 2-3 years with me beating the crap out of it. center forces are only a little more than most other clutches but i think its a lot better.

I think that $300 is a fair price for that job. No one is saying it's hard, but shops charge by the hour. Usually about $95 an hour or so. Of course it's always better to do things yourself, but if you are not mechanically inclined your assed out.

I guess the hobby shop would make things easier, but if you can't man handle a t-45 your weak sauce! LOL...............Make sure you start early and you have all of your parts and tools before you start. You never know when a bolt will break or whatever.

yeah you're right about doing it your self but i dont have the capability of doing it here at my apartment and i have never done it before but i figure if read about the install i can do it, i think it will be a bit more fun to have a install party, i need to get a new quad before we get the ball rolling though. Like i said before pizza and plenty of beer will be provided. speaking of beer... this buzz i got going now is nice.

except clutches can be a pain in the ass. the top two bolts are ridiculous. i came in from the top last time i pulled my transmission, but now with the blower their is too much stuff in the way. i had the trans pulled apart in my garage, but i couldnt break the torque on the top two bolts this time. i had to use 3 extensions and two swivels just to get on it. i said screw it, threw it together and paid the shop up the street 80 bucks to break the top two bolts cause they have a lift. (i hate the base hobby shop, the guy in the toolroom weirds me out) he pulled the bolts called and said for 300 he would throw in the clutch for me and my drive shaft loop, considering my family is in town i said screw it and let him do it.

yeah i almost felt like that today with my boost pipe. That damn thing seemed like itwasn't even meant for my car. But i made a few cuts in the couplings and made it work. We'll have to see where i can do this. Too bad for us that we cant drink beer at the auto hobby shop on base.
