kim down at southland clutch gave me a crash course but thats about it. got to drop the driveshaft, exhaust, split the bell housing cause of some hidden bolts then drop the tranny, pull the bell housing then replace the clutch and fly wheel. he said i should see about a 13-14 horse power gain with the swap.

and after i drop the tranny i got to jack up the front of the motor to get to the last 2 bolts on the bell housing cause they sit right against the other side of the firewall

damn, i guess i better get going on my clutch too then if that is worth HP. It probably be a good idea to do the mounts while the tranny is out.

there is 1 tranny mount on the back with 2 bolts should be easy. well the termy comes stock with an aluminum fly wheel and a 11" clutch disk. i am switching to a chromoly fly wheel that is the same weight as the aluminum one. and i can either run a 11" or a 10.5". i opted for the 10.5 king cobra twin friction clutch. less centrifical mass+greater grip=more horses. i dont know what the gain would be on a GT or V-6 but if you get a lighter flywheel and a good clutch i could definatly see some horses freed up.

i just checked in onboard the jarrett and they are in stand down right now. i have tomorrow and the next day off but have duty on fri. i dont know if that works with anyones schedules. i really wanted to have it done before ffw but it might not happen. hobby shop here on 32nd street is open tomorrow but im not sure if i want to tear in it just yet by myself. its my daily driver and i dont want to be left afoot.

Im sure there will be less parasetic loss with lighter flywheel, but i'm stickinng the stock peice because i had a friend on my ship that put a light weight flywheel and ended up losing ET because the RPM dopped out off the power band when he shifted.
