Crossroads with my car

you guys seem to be a pretty chill bunch, so let me ask you this, I'm at a crossroads when it comes to apperance plans for my car.

i was pretty set on going with the roush look, and had started collecting parts(rear spats). But then last night at a local meet up i saw a guys silver saleen:drool:


god ****ing damnit:mad:


so, what would you do? go with roush or slaeen? and yes, i would be keeping the black accents on the car(hood, trunk, wheels, etc)

i wouldn't be starting out right away with acquiring parts(i have an interior project first) but i can always find deals. last thing i want to do is have a whole bunch of miss-matching parts!

Nothing wrong with mix matched parts. At one time on my 02 GT I wanted a Cobra R hood, Saleen side vents, 04 cobra decklid and front bumper. Keep in mind if you do go Saleen or Roush it will never truely be either but as long as your fine with that your set. I prefer the look of the Saleen myself. How are you on power mods? -shane

i like the look of the roush sidepipes, but i also like the saleen with the center exit exhaust out back. i think they both look amazing. i also like the rear of the 03-04 cobra. its all personal preference. peice it together how you like it. doesnt all have to match

full bolt on's. and i know it wont be a true saleen(i wont be doing any misbadging) but i do like to enter my car into mustang shows. And if i want to place, i need to step it up

cobra R front......any clean side scoops w/ cobra scoops. saleen center exit exhaust with saleen wing. thats what i would do. i would also go with a cobra R hood. its all really a clean look, thats different, and will come together well. with the blacked out panel the saleen wing would look great

What are you doing to your inside? Nothing wrong with looks..I like a little of both myself.

You should go ahead and mix and match the parts you want for your particular likes. All Roushe would be a fake and all Saleen would be a fake. If you mix and match the parts, you have a custom look that will be a one of a kind and it's what you like. Just go for it and enjoy your CAR!!!!

YUP YUP..you pick the best parts of all 99-04 Stangs and get it all painted up nice and it will be a hot Mustang! Just keep in mind..end the end..it's what makes you happy! My interior has alot of chrome pieces and some painted piecies. Won some trophies from it all and few best interiors actually. It is way too much for ALOT of people, but I like it. -Shane

hmm, i think i may just finish off my retro look, even thought that is close to done.

i think the only thing i would add would be a 99 cobra front, gt side scoops, a black 99 wing, and maybe rear window louvers

i like the look of your stang but im the kind of guy that if my car's gonna look fast, it better be able to walk the walk first....but i would just save the money and bolt on a blower and come down to barona and have some fun.....
