Customized Tail Lights

After photoshopping many designs for masking my tail lights, this is the design I have decided to go with. I have two sets of tail lights. One will stay stock. The other set, I am going to customize as seen below. This will not be paint or tint but glossy black decal vinyl which I buy in bulk locally from a friend who owns a sign shop.

The cool thing about doing this in decal vinyl is that if you ever get tired of it you can......PEEL IT OFF!

they look good but... the blacked out looks real good but i know that is all too common. The saleen tail light set up is nice too, once again... not an original look.

The other project I'm working on presently is a custom one-of-a-kind grille for my Lightning.

I bought an extra set of 05+ Mustang GT fog lamps and I'm grafting them into a spare upper grille.

I had to make housings or "rings" to mount the lamps in. I did this by using a plastic plant pot bottom that was the right diameter as a mold and made two fiberglass castings off the bottom of the pot.

I trimmed them for depth and also roughed out the center opening where the lights will shine through each one. Right now, they are mounted loosely in the holes I cut in the spare grille and I will begin fiberglassing each and every little place where the grille contacts the lamp ring/housings. After that, sand/sculpt, smooth, prime and paint flat black.

Lamps will be mounted from behind with a spring type bracket I'm designing.

This will be very similar to the center fog grille in my Mustang.

the one you showed us first looks the best but it seems like it has supra look to it.

the grill will look awesome, but the tail lights im not a fan of. i think you should try sticking with the stock look, but try making the existing lines thicker. if you want i can draw up some ideas.

Supra, that's a good one! Hadn't thought about the ricer look.
I need to get some "CLEAR" tails!

with red circles in them....no seriously, try photoshoping the stock style, but thicker black lines separating the lights....kinda like those chrome sets you can get. see how that looks...

What's the goal of that? To make the lamp lenses look smaller? Thinner?

The only problem with this design is that it begins to obscure the reflectors at the bottom and most of the back up lamp. And that is reason enough to get pulled over.
