There is a tire shop in San Diego called "Tire Depot, Inc." that's located at
3189 Adams Ave. The owners name is Gary Tillery, a mom and pop owned independent tire shop. This summer I bought a set of Nitto 555 from them.
"Discount Tire" wanted $230 per tire, "Tire Depot" charged me $180 per tire. They also do alignments and lowering. I sent a friend of mine over there and he took care of him also.

Sounds like a good place to check out. B-line is an awesome alignment place, but they cost an arm and a leg. I'll have to check them out.

I have literally bought my last 4 sets of tires off of e-bay/craigslist when some poor sap needed money and sold them way cheaper than you could pass up.

They weren't used tires were they? Also tires that are new and never bought in say greater than 5 years should not be bought at all. New tires wear out on the self. Obviously not the tread but the compounds that make a tire stay together.
