I probably will not be there (@ the meeting), but was thinking about the Mustang vs Chevy drag day. Not quite sure how we would collect money to fund trophies for this event. I will talk to Barona about paying at the gate when I speak with them about a solid date, but I'm shooting for Feb. 28 per the poll we took.

Trophy wise I was thinking we could do Club and event trophies that way everyone has a legitimate shot at winning something that day. I think once the test & tune portion is over we should be assigned lanes (chevy vs camaro/firebird/vette) and run heads up. You lose your out!! Last man standing takes home the king of the hill. Everyone will get plenty of runs in and we will all have a shot at winning something wether it be in the club awards or the event awards or both.

I think bracket racing will take too long and be too complicated and alot of people do not understand how it works, but everyone knows how to run heads up.

Best E.T. (1st, 2nd & 3rd)

Event awards
Best reaction time of the night
Best E.T. Ford (1st, 2nd & 3rd)
Best E.T. Chevy (1st, 2nd & 3rd)
King of the Hill (last man standing)

All, I spoke with Barona and they said that they will be going over the schedule for 09' this week and that they have not forgotten about us. He said he would contact me late in the week to let me know if the 28 feb 09. date would be good. It will be on a test & tune night, but we will be featured as the main event which means we will have priority. As I find out more details I will post them. If anyone has ideas for this event bring it up at the meeting. Or PM me.
