Unfortunately, the signal for 91X is from Mexico. But I agree, that should not be played over here in the US.

The radio station can be changed and we are a diverse country. I get more mad when they abuse our flag or raise theirs over ours. -Shane

First. List your political opinions in the proper forum:wf::wtf::nonono:

Second: 91X is transmitted from Mexico you uneducated bigoted idiot.

Third: Why NOT have other anthems played in America? This is one way of learning about other people and their countries. We are a diverse nation rich with many peoples, ideas, art, food, music, sports, and so on.

Shut your mouth and open your narrow one celled brain. You actually might learn something.:nonono:

91X is owned by clear channel radio. CCR is an AMERICAN COMPANY.

Because it is unpatriotic. I go down to chula vista and NC all the time, and pick up from Paradise Valley Hospital everyday. Know how many of them speak english? IN the 2 months i've worked here I've had ONE patient who's spoken fluent english....

If I wanted to learn more about Mexico, I would read a book, or seek the information. Playing a national anthem shows pride to a country. And if they are in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, they better be showing pride to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and not Mexico.

Are you also for opening borders to allow all illegals in? Or are you also for not deporting illegals?

Don't even start name calling and insults. That shows hella maturity when you do it? Doesn't it. I honestly expected more of you FS.

I have to agree with Xodus. The national athem of other countries should not be played here except when it involves an international event, (i.e, Olympics, international conferences, etc). This may be a diverse nation and have nothing against learning about other culture. But when it comes to the national anthem, the only one that should be played on a nightly basis is our own national athem. You can be sure the Star Spangled Banner is not played in Mexico.

Also, calling people names does not support your argument for opening "narrow one celled brain."

Hmmmmmmm. Here we go again. If we are not allowed to teach strong, traditional American Heritage in public schools, why would we want Mexico's National Anthem played. It's quiet simple, "The Femenization of America". No offense to women in general, but the dominant male role is a thing of the past. Boys want manicures, purses, fanny packs, pedicures and a "cute" wardrobe. Most men have never forced their boys to grow up. There are a few men in this world who:

Lead their families
Teach discipline, religion and values to their children
Stand up to aggression
Stand for something, rather then fall for anything
Hunt for their food
Believe success is earned, vice granted
Ask what "they" can do for their country
Most of all carry these traditions: Honesty, Integrity and Self-Discipline

To bad these traits are no longer part of the American majority, California's Governor or our Commander and Chief.

You expected more of me? Hmmmmm. As in agreeing with your opinion?

I expected more from you as a health care professional AND a human being. So guess we are even?

I believe in treating human beings with respect, consideration, kindness, caring, and compassion. They are people just like you are. It sounds to me you have chosen the wrong profession.

Name calling? All I did was call you a bigot which is what your....hmmmm 'rant' was; bigoted. Not sure what that is?

Bigoted:
**a person obstinately convinced of the superiority or correctness of one's own opinions and prejudiced against those who hold different opinions.
**expressing or characterised by prejudice and intolerance

I am wondering what information you have gathered or how is it you were taught to think / know that your opinion is superior or more correct than others? How did you become so prejudiced and intolerant? You are all of 19 years old? I am 57. I do think I have learned and experienced a great deal more about this matter as well as, well, everything than you have.

My father and his family were / are bigots, and narrow minded idiots. When I was a child there was an American Indian kid that my cousin and I used to play with in the neighbourhood. One day a bunch of the kids and I, were playing and taking pictures of each other and goofin' around.

I showed my paternal Grandmother our 'cool' pics. I was beaten severely for this act of what my Grandmother called 'filth'. I was told that if I ever associated with this person or any other person that was NOT white skinned, meaning a complete Anglo Saxon, that I would receive further punishment. And if I was ever caught talking to a 'Nigra' or a 'pikaninny' as she called African Americans, or a 'Wetback' for Mexicans. I would receive more severe punishments more often. So, I was beaten quite often for this so called transgression and for befriending people with different skin colours, from different countries, different religions, and different opinions.

Are You 100% Anglo Saxon X? I certainly am. If you are not does that mean I am superior to you? Does that mean MY opinion is right and yours is wrong?

As far as opening borders or deporting people, my opinion on this issue and many other issues is none of your business nor anyone else's business but mine.

What is or rather SHOULD be EVERYONE'S business is as I said:
Treating humans with respect, consideration, kindness, caring, understanding, and compassion. If you are not able to extend this to the individuals you are called on to help, then you need to get out of the business of saving lives and helping people that are sick or injured. I am pretty sure the application did not allow you to choose what colour person you would prefer to help. What will you do? Let the people you find distasteful, 'illegal', the 'wrong' colour, individuals that have a different idea or opinion from yours die? Suffer? Throw them into the gutter while driving to the ER?

If you are so angry about other people from other countries being in the United States, and become so angry over a simple piece of music played over THEIR transmitters, it might be more satisfying for you to change professions to that of Boarder Patrol or some other enforcement officer. I hope, for your sake, you are never on the receiving end of your own opinion, especially when you need medical help.

AAAAAAAAND.........guess what? There are other radio stations (but you should first investigate where their signal originates and if they play 'anthems' other than The Star Spangled Banner) AAAAANNNNNDDDD....guess what? We now have, believe it or not, devices that will bypass the entire issue. iPODS and other recording devices you can use to record your own personal music. I think that will also help you with this particular issue.

I think very highly of you and respect you greatly. You are also adorable.

Hopefully you will have read my response to X. Perhaps I have clarified the 'name calling', however I will change my 'narrow one celled brain' to a narrow roughly six trillion celled brain, which is really more embarrassing. If he only had a narrow one celled brain he would at least have an excuse for my perception of his ignorance.

Different issue? If I am being 'called out' for so called 'name calling' then everyone in the active club should be called out for the same as all have used 'name calling' in one way or another at some time or another on each other and others not even belonging to this Club on these Forums.

Perhaps the rules of the Forum should be amended to reflect that 'name calling' is inappropriate and will not be tolerated in any way, shape, or form. Then, or first of all, the definition of 'name calling' will also need to be clearly stated prior to the rule being instated.

Just a suggestion to avoid further problems with 'name calling'. You silly goose. OOOOPPPPPPSSSSSSS! name calling name calling name calling.... my car can kick your ratty butted car any day of the year. OOOppppssss name calling name calling. HEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPP!

Somebody, Anybody! Call the Name Calling Police and arrest that biatch!

ok everyone, lets hear it from a Mixa-Can.

I am first generation, Amercian-born, from a Mex family. My grandfather quit his post as Mayor, sold his homes and ranches to bring the family to the U.S.

Growing up as a child in a predominantly hispanic neighborhood, I saw it all. From the stereo typical dozen cars on the lawns, to the 8 passenger VW bug. What I do remember is that my grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts and cousins never displayed anything but the United States flag. Why???? because they were so grateful that this country allowed my family to grow and prosper with all our efforts put forth.

Do I/we value our heritage? of course. Without our past, we wouldn't be who we are now. Do I personally listen to spanish music? Yes, but out of consideration for other, not when I beleive they may be offended by it. Well, except for the circus sounding jargon.

About it being played over the airwaves; freedom of speech. period.

As said above, we have plenty of presets on our radios, and dozens of choices (100's with sat radio). Take your pick. For those offended, well....I guess we won't be inviting you over to party in TJ when the drug wars calm down. Remember, they do have pretty cool American music played there. And yes, spending many years traveling in and out of Rosarito/Ensenada, they do play the American National Anthem there, quite often. Many American business owners and investors that live there have that kind of leverage to keep our Americans in Mexico happy.

Bottom line, before this gets heated (even more),

We all have choices where we eat, crap, sleep, see and listen. You don't like a restaurant, go to another. You don't like Spanish music, change the station. You don't like Tacos and Burritos because thats Mex food and this is America, eat at McDonalds.

I'd like to also add that yes, it does bother me when I see other countries flags being waved in front yards and off of vehicles, as in smearing it in our faces, given the fact that this country opened its doors to them to offer opportunities. They should be grateful to the American flag and wave it proudly, since they left thier country behind to prosper in ours. My family members have entirely become 100% U.S. Citizens, by birth or naturalization, and you will never see us display others flags other than the Stars and Stripes, however we still have customs and traditions that we carry on, as do countless others.

Choices people, choices. Our country gives us that.

FS, I saw your response. Thank you.

All I'm saying is, if you are trying to get your point across or support your point, calling names is the wrong way to do it. I really don't care if other people call other people names or call me names, but trying to get your point across in that manner is the wrong way to do that.

Thank You, Tom. I agree with your post. I'm in the same position as you being a first generation American from a Chinese family. We are too proud of the fact we are now Americans and we hang nothing but Old Glory. But like you, we are proud of our heritage and will honor our traditions, but we are Americans now and America comes first.
