Does anyone else race there car?

Hey just wondering if anyone else races there cars? What RPM do you launch, do you take weight out, what is your quickest time? Lets post and maybe we can help each other.

I personaly found the quickest way down the track is just taking off fast like coming off a light. If I try to dump it and go I spin and run in 14's I havent tried to take a headlight out or lighten car at all though. Going to try to run some race gas, take out my headlight so my cold air can breath better, and take out my spare tire. Will keep you guys posted. I did run a 13.6 on street tires.

Yes I raced the car at Houston when I was in Texas at the time I was stock and ran 13.9. I took off like I would at a light as you said shifted at 5k. Raced again same night ran a 14.1 dumped the clutch and spun not to bad but enough to keep me put of the 13's. I now have some minor mods JLT & Tune and will try my luck in Tucson,AZ this weekend.

I race when I get a chance. I have a completely stock 90 hatch save for muffs and gears. My best run was 13.7 @101 leaving at around 3400 on drag radials. With that time I had a 1.87 60ft:D
