my buddy did that at barona in a bmw thought he had to pull up to tree they guy backed him up and he left it in rev. The crowed laughed and clapped so loud he didnt run again. This is why we are trying to post these threads so the new guys have a idea what to do when getting to track and going down return lane and back to pits. I dont want one of our members being laughed off track

I did that in my garage the other day and almost hit the neighbors garage door.

The driver went past the staging light and had to back up. When he backed up and the lights lit, he stopped and never shifted into Drive. So when the last yellow lights he hit the gas.....thus going in reverse.


Correct me if I am wrong Phil or Orange.......I think I got it right.

You got it right.

That is the reason you back through the beams, click it into first and start the staging process.

Most tracks won't get mad if you burn through the beams, once or twice, they understand you are new.

It's when you get to three or more they want to talk to you.

nope but there isnt very many ways that a person can go the wrong way from the starting line......1 they had to back up before staging, 2 they had to back up to stage 3. they entered the wrong end of the track. 4. they are retarded and dont know which direction they want to go. 5. They were spotting a 6er some distance and getting laughed at.
