Did he even attempt to see if it would make more power at say 12.8-13.2 A/F ratio? Just wondering. Serious question here, but did your dipstick blow out? Did you have any issues while at the dyno?

Orange395w he is not that type of tuner.. He steps tunes and makes sure your A/F is conservative.. He cares more for your motor lasting. Hey tunes like Danny Swanson. He will go more agressive if you ask too...

I doubt it his blow by disappeared... But, maybe he fixed it before he took it in.. Have to ask Ethan 10 different ways before he can give you an answer...:)

i just read something interesting, this is something that you guys already know but from what i read, the blow by is caused by a double rocking motion with the piston which causes the cylinder to wear down, i saw ethans engine on friday and the dip stick had oil coming out of it, now i have to ask, does he see alot of oil consumption with in 1000 mile of his latest oil change????

That engine is on barrowed time. I think in his particular case the previous owner did not break the engine in properly. He ran a freshly rebuilt engine without a tune for a very long time. What I think might have happened was the car was running so rich the excess fuel washed out the cylinders and never allowed the rings to seat properly. When this occurs there is metal on metal in the cylinders That is not good! I would have liked to see the first oil change after you bought that car. I wonder if there was fuel in it?

I could be way off base on this, so keep in mind this is just my own theory. Only other thing I can think of is the engine builder just sucked a s s and doesn't know how to build an engine properly. The same guy built Pierre's 408w that kept spitting freeze plugs out at the race track and spewing anti-freeze all over!

My advice is to take the money from the lexus you sold, buy a nice shortblock and run what you have until it breaks!

I agree with the build being ****ty, the site that i was reading said that there is no cure for blow by especialy when it's bad, so he may as well order up a new short block... just a matter of time before the car takes a s h i t....

its normally only 10 to 12% higher on a dyno jet vs mustang dyno. We hav a local mustang dyno and a local dyno jet. it is 12% lower on our mustang dyno.
