I just bought a set of adjustable Eibach coilovers. If anyone has installed these before and can give me any info I would appreciate it. I have installed lowering springs before on a 90 LX 5.0 and a 97 Cobra but, never coilovers. I hear these are easier. I will let you all know how the install goes and I will try and take some pics during the process to help out whoever else wants to put these on their Stang. I am putting them on a 2006 GT.

Ive done springs on a few cars, and its bascially the same thing. THey didnt come with instructions? Maybee if you install them next weekend Joe i can come over and help.

Usually if i run into a problem i just do a google search and something comes up that helps me out.

Inst.

They came with instructions but they are not very good. It looks like it is going to be a fairly easy install. Im sure I can figure it all out. But, two heads are better than one so you are more than welcome to help me. I will probably do it on base at the hobby shop since they have a lift, and a spring compressor. I will let you know when I am going to do it. It will most likely be next week sometime. Thanks Dustin.

Eibach Update....

Heres the skinny on installing Eibach's Pro Steet Kit in a 05-07 Mustang GT....
There is none. It was very simple. The instructions sucked as I said in an earlier post. But I managed to complete the job, by myself in just under 4 hours. One thing I can say is: Dont even bother trying to get a spring compressor on the old springs to remove them.. There is not enough room. Just lift the body of your car, Remove the wheel, and support the control arms with another jack while you remove the shock absorber hardware (helps if you have access to a lift). Then slowly lower the jack supporting the control arm til there is no more compression on the spring and it will come right out. This apply's to the front as well although there is more hardware that needs to be removed before you are ready to lower the support jack. Oh, I meant to document the process with pics, but I was in a hurry due to the fact that I had to get to a club meeting we were having the day I put them in ( sorry ).
Last but not least... They work great so far. They handle most road conditions without being annoying. It feels like it is going to handle great.. I say that because I have not tested their limits yet (waiting til the alignment is done). I would recommend this kit to anyone that wants to lower thier Stang. Its expensive but having fully adjustable suspension is well worth it if you have the money for it.
Here is some before and after pics of my Stang:

Joe I have pics and doc for the rest of guys out there. I went with all stang suspension parts. It thought it was easy install doing mine. I just took everyhting out then compressed springs. I have pics will get them scanned and have Emilio post for the rest of the guys. You will need a 4 wheel alignment though for sure... I love my springs. Its fun pushing it through coners.. well unless its wet out and not even pushing it and you hit guard rail lol

The spring install was extremely easy on my '06. If you are dropping more then 1.5 inches, make sure you get the CC plates. If not, then get the camber bolts... they are fine for a 1.5 inch drop. Just make sure you get a good alignment when you are finished, because it doesn't take but about 100 miles to start tearing up the front skins.

Good Call

I used the alignment bolts. And I believe I am sporting a 2" drop in the front and a 2 1/4" in the back. My alignment guy told me to drive it for a couple hundred miles before I brought it to him to allow the springs to settle. But he got a perfect alignment out of it with the bolts. I am not to worried about my stock P-Zero's anyhow. Next on the list is a set of staggered Boze Forged 20" rims wrapped in Toyo Proxes. I am finally getting my windows tinted to, that should make a big difference in how my stang looks to not to mention lowering the temp inside. Its at the tint shop as I speak....

Cool...

I want to get wheels, tires (I am holding out for the new Draglites that are coming out for the S197s.) and window tint done too, but I am having the headwork and valvetrain done next. Cams (Competition Cams Camshafts Gross Lift Intake: .490, Exhaust: .485 Advertised Duration Intake: 261°, Exhaust: 288,° Crower 05-07 GT Valve Spring and Titanium Retainer Kit), springs, retainers, porting... the works. What is a decent price for a tint job these days? I've never had one done.

Thanks,

Jim
