Electric Window Problem

Well got the Mach1 and drive her for the first time yesterday. I look forward to her being my daily driver VERY much. Only issue on the 2004 Mach1 with 15,300 miles is that the driver side window is that it wont go down. The passenger sides does and when I hit the drivers side I can hear the electric click. Not sure if the fuse is for both sides which would eliminate a bad fuse if so. If the switch is getting power from the elctric click I would think it is getting power to the switch so between the switch and the motor would be the issue. Have not had a chance to tear into the door yet. Any idea guys at this point? Thanks in advance.-Shane

If you hear a click from the motor, there is power. Click from the switch, maybe not. Should be an easy fix either way.

Almost everything is an easy fix..with the rite tools and knowledge, lol. Believe it or not they say to turn the key to get power, push the down button and either bang the door or close the door good and it will unfreeze. Seems to be a common issue and alot of guys fixed it by doing this. This car only has 15,300 miles on it! Thanks for the help.-Shane

Start the car, open the door, hold down the switch and slam the door closed wile holding down the switch.

This works for me on the Bullitt when the window won't go up, may work for you.

Thanks everyone, will try the trick HISPONY and that seems to be the general fix around the forums. Seems to only happen on the drivers side and usually due to heat. Never happened on any of my other three Mustangs I have owned..guess I have been lucky.-Shane
