Email Tunes?

Windveil Blues

OLD FART
OK, you guys know I now have the cams installed and the car is running. I am replacing my Airaid CAI with a C & L Racer CAI because I have been hearing that the Airaid CAI's are actually too big in the MAF area of the intake tube, and they are difficult at best to tune properly. My C & L should be here from StangSuspension probably mid-week, and I am wondering if any of you have used Bamachips email tunes. I've heard good things and bad about them. Mustang Muscle Performance wants $180.00 an hour to tune on their dyno, and that sounds way high to me. Furthermore, I wasn't even able to talk to the guy that would be doing the tuning, because his father (whom answered the phone) wouldn't put him on the phone. I was more than a little annoyed by this, so I am asking for advice here. I've also checked the two other places locally here that have Dynojet dynos, and wasn't very impressed by them either. I do have my own Predator U7140 tuner.

Thanks,

Jim

I think Blackstallion06 used Bamachips, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe you can get a hold of him. I haven't seen him on here lately. I'm wondering if he's out to sea. But he can give you his opinion on that.

When it comes to internet tunes just remember all your doing is cutting out some of the tuners work. You still need to upload the tune and get the car dynoed to check the tune and possible have the tuner tweek the tune several times. You can datalog your car and send that to him as well a dyno run. Just dont get an email tune and head to the track not knowing if the tune is perfect. -Shane

I have 4 of Bama's tunes. Doug, the tuner for Bama does a great job. The only thing I hear negative about him is that he can be hard to get hold of or it takes time for him to answer emails. Remember I believe he works with only one other person and they do email and dyno tunes not just for mustangs, but for mopar and GM as well. With his 91tq tune and JLT intake, my car made and additional 21 RWHP and 22 RWTQ.
