ill start by saying i really dont remember the name of this shop, its not one that i have or ever will use. its a shop thats right accross from mcrd, and its owned by a retired master gunns. which makes this all the worse. so the story goes like this, i was breakin shi^ on my snake one day at the hobby shop, and i walk accross the street to grab a sandwitch and a drink when i over hear this guy sayin that his truck is drinking about 4 quarts of oil every few weeks, so of course i chipped in and say " hay man i think you probably got a blown head gasket" he has no idea what a head gasket is so i tell him ill take a look, and sure enough there it is in all its glory!!! so i tell him fo sho hes got one. then he starts up the truck and i hear this go awful ticking comming from the right side of his motor. in all actuality it was more like a slamming!!! he said it started not even a month after he paid for the motor. so after talking to him it turns out this shop bought this motor for him and told him it was brand new!!! no way in hell was it brand new first of all, looked like a junked motor, and when he took it back to the shop they told him that they wouldnt touch it because they couldnt prove that it was them that f'd it up. so now hes out 2 grand and stuck w a jacked motor!!! so im sorry for not remembering the name of the place if i can track down this ssgt then ill ask him again what the name was, but at any rate i figured id give yall a heads up if you do buisness around mcrd w some shady motor shops keep this in mind id hate to see one of us scammed by a shop when there are many members here on the site that are more than willing to help out and many of which probably know more than a random shop.
