If we do want to go 351 route my buddy has one for sale that we could pick up pretty cheap fo what is in the thing. Its a 351 that is bored and stroked all forged internals it has a vortec to go along with the block. It is on a engine stand in his garage. Its all in pieces so would be nice little weekend project to put back together.. It was for his 70 mach but now he wants to do a big block. I think he said Ford just came out with one that is 500+ cubic inches he wants to put in the car. Like VP said though we need a car first

At the next meeting, bring your ideas for putting together teams to design engines at a resonable cost. Looks like WS Pres wants to reach out to our sponsors and get as many goodies as possible. The car is an 88 Fox LX Hatchback. Maybe we can get two or three teams to design engines, find common ground between the plans and then work out the rest. This race car is becomming a reality, become a donator and join in on the build and race FTW.

I am pushing for DOHC 4.6L also because it would make for an interesting high revver. I am looking at one right now from a complete car I can get for around ~$300. Make the whole project MUCH more affordable.

Here she is:

Well, drivetrain is taken care, or at least has a good start. Car had a rough time with a tree, but will provide a great starting point for our little project (280 hp). It should be picked up tommorrow in El Cajon.
Here it is: 95 Mark VIII DOHC with AOD. 85k miles. I heard it run today.
