I think it's safe to say that there are so many Mustangs in the upper classes, that it is easy to forget who is who sometimes. So racers will try to make that subtle mod to make their car stand out. Those who follow the ORSCA Limited Street series have probably seen plenty of fox-body Mustangs, but the Todd Berry owned/Eric Dillard driven car is one that always stands out. The "cross-eyed" turbocharger setup that pokes out the top of the hood is quite the unique piece. Whether there is an actual advantage to channeling the air into those turbos at an angle, or it was just for appearance sake we don't know, but we do know Dillard is at the top of his game as he dominated this category. He managed to win the last 4 out of 5 races they attended and went home with the title of 2009 ORSCA Limited Street Champion.
Other than the cool apperance, an engine at almost 600 cubic inches (598) and twin 88mm turbos sends this '91 Hatchback flying down the track with mid-4-second runs in the 1/8th mile. Not only did he win the championship, he also set the new E/T and mph record for his class with a 4.57 at 170 mph. Limited Street is arguably one of the most competitive categories in the ORSCA as half the field could more than likely take home the win at any given race. Even if Dillard and crew got to hangout in the winner's circle more than others, it's no easy ride.

It wasn't exactly instant success when this black beauty was first campaigned in 2007, but the team's successful outings surely outnumbered the downfalls - even the car is going on 3 years old now.
