Sorry been in Vegas for the last several days but hey Phil its cheaper to buy a 17inch rim and DR's than what it will cost for those 18" DR's. The only good 18 right now is from bf's and they are 330 bucks apiece

and on the drag radial topic it is better to go taller then wider when it comes to slicks and drag radials.... Im think of looking for like a 275 45 r17
Well TJ got news for you. M/T is realeasing there version of a D/R in a 18. I ran these in 17 and hooked up great. I am waiting for these to be put on the shelves and buying them. If I was going ot go the route of getting a new rim they I just go with a 15 and some slicks. If I new somone that would buy my other 4 rims and tires I would get some 15 inch slicks.
TJ is right though if we do go down on Friday we should get a few runs in..last friday test and tune that guy with the old 5.0 said he got in quite a few runs. I just want to see what taking some weight out, my headlight and running higher octane will do for my runs. I also going to take my camcorder down and tape us or see if okl or dustins girl will tape us.

make sure you let one of them practic with the camcordor on the way down to bako.... I have had some bad luck with rookie camcordor people

We need to get a total count and definate time of departure. Me and a bunch of the guys from the job don't work that day. That means the earlier the better. But I will not leave anybody if they are going to be a lil late. If need be we can go a lil later we just need to set something in stone. Remember organization is key we all need to be on the same page.

So far the count is for sure 5 from WS and about 3 to 4 others. So we might be able to have a lil fun on the way done
Well i am going for sure. I am not in to messing around on the way down but LOL I think we should leave about a hour and half early. That way we get there early to get through Tech inspection and get a few runs in before it gets crowded.

hmmm... i just got my 6 tuned so she's running right, right now... speedo calibrated and everything... it was a mail order tune, but she's more lively now... but i have no racing tires, just streets...
and, i dunno if you'd all want to see a six run... maybe a spectator? lol! i'll let ya'll know...

I personaly think you should run the car. It is alot of fun , and only like 5 extra dollars to run. You would get a good idea what your mods are doing for you. Believe me there are some cars down there that you think would run, and dont. I seen a GT Stang that even with D/r's the guy was running 15's Its alot of fun to run. If you dont want to I do need a camera man..

It's 20 to run and you wont need a helmet. I don't think they require it unless you are running a really fast E.T. When we went down I had a helmet and didn't use it.

You wont need a helmet. I dont think your car is that fast. They were pretty cool with it last time. It is sopposed to be if you are 13.99 or faster you need a helmet. I didnt bring mine last time becasue I had no Idea that it would actually make it to 13's. The more I practice the faster I am getting on track. Last time on streets the fastest I went was a 14.1

didn't know what their policies for helmets were. some places i know, require helmet, then a roll cage after a certain et. rather be safe and ask then get there and not know.
Yeah I think fomoso if you are down in 11's then you need caged not sure though
So who will all be making the trip down on friday? Remember dont fill your tank. the lighter your car the faster the ET. I would go with a 1/2 no more. I Have a little under a quarter now. going to fill it just above that for the trip and run some race fuel when I get there. I cant wait to see with my car lighten how much I can take off my ET. I would be happy with 13.3 That is only 3 tenths. I am taking out my seat, spare tire, and headlight for more air. Going to try to go in and add some timing and make my fans kick on a little sooner to cool down moter faster. We will see wish me luck. Hope most of you guys go will be alot of fun.

I would add timing and richen it up if you can......I wouldnt mess with take ing timing out to much.... I want to get this pro racer program for the SCT. It sound pretty easy to use for home tuning..... I just cant seem to find where to get it... just a link on ther site that talks about it.....

If i remember rite it 1tenth per 100lbs you take out. and gas dosent wight that much. i ran faster with a full tank then with an 1/8th of a tank. and dont waste your money on race fuel unless your tuned for it and not mixing any other grade fuel with it. if you mix 91 with 100 your still only getting 91 octane.
