Famoso is holding there first Test & Tune of the year. Gates open at 8am. Cost $35 to race $15 to watch.(if the prices are the same as last year) Ill be goin down there On the saturday the 3rd. If anyones interested let me know. Trying to get a group togeather here in fresno to cruise down there. Gona leave fresno about 830 no later then 9.

Andy I think you have to have a helmet If your car runs faster than a 14sec 1/4 mile. I am all over it though. I just need to get that throttle body issue taken care of... would be nice to see what we do on a track though huh.. I think we should all go down as group. Make it a W.stangs event. I like to see what the other guys are running. I may not be the fastest on out there but def dont think I will be the slowest.

Sweet i see it was moved into events. But yes if your car runs qiucker then 13.99 you need a helmet. Other things they require is the battery straped down. Dont now if the 05+ have those stock. I now the stock for a 99-04 is good enought for them. And yes this i during the day. Gates open at 8am and track closes at 4pm. I know last year was packed because this is the only open tnt before march meets so the track will be well preped for those cars.

Andy I got a helmet that we can pass back and forth if need be.. I do not think our batt are tied down so I may have to make something to pass that check lol..

your battery has a tie down trust me..... I thought the helmet was if you ran faster then 12.9 and 4 point cage if your faster the 11.9, I'm not worried about it... I really don't even think they will call us on it..... When they ask you how fast you think your going to run tell them you don't know....

I will also be heading down the the track. I am getting a trailer. I have alot of crap to bring (slicks, jack,chairs, 100lbs of ice, ect....) I will be leaving lemoore by 8am. I hope to see some club members down there.

13.99 or below you need a helmet for sure. All of our batteries should pass tech insp. they have hold downs on the bottom of the tray.

Andy I have a really nice helmet I bought from guy from work. No worries there.. Just glad my batt will pass. I cant wait for this one. I am going to take off that weekend I have duty lol..

Andy I like to go in on some slicks lol... Then I have to bring my jack ect to change them over ect.. I am going to check summit today and see how much some 17 inch slicks are for my stock rims...

Andy they will ask you how fast your car is. Just tell them you run 14.2 or something. But as soon as you break 14 sec you will have to get a helmet. It will buy you at least one pass on the strip.

well it looks now that i will be going on sunday now. If anyone is leaving from lemoore or hanford on sunday how about a get together in the am and we can all leave together. I would like to be on the road by 9am at the latest.
let me know. I'm tring to meet a few guys from the area but it seems that I would have better luck playing the lottery. I have school on the friday of the club meeting. Figures.

Dont sweat it Joe, we arent going anywhere. There will be plenty of events and plenty of meetings to attend in the near future. We dont expect that everyone is going to make it to everything. One example is: several years ago I was down in San Diego for school. The last weekend I was there was the weekend of Knotts Berry farm show. I was very excited to meet up with the S.D. Wicked Stangs chapter. Needless to say I think I met the "3" people that showed up for this event at In and Out in mission valley where they normally meet. I was Dissappointed to say the least. But, i decided that since I had woken that early I may as well go. Well, we stoped at a gas station about half way to Knotts. we were there for approx 30 min. By the time we left we were 60 to 80 deep on I-5. it was a blast.

So, I guess what I am trying to say is: Stick with us, check this forum often, and I am sure you will be glad you did. - Joe

I'm buying my own DR's... But i think that set with the GTO wheels the size is wrong...... I have never seen a 24575R17 any tire..... Have you seen them are they 275 40 R17's... that would be perfect..
