Good to hear that she fired up today. Emilio called me and said that the beast is alive and well. He did not metion that you were having problems with the backing plate, but it sounds like a quick fix....just go back to a T-5....LOL!!!!
Are you kidding me! If you drove in my car with this reverse manual C4 you would be swapping to a tricked out AOD.
why not just drop the trans?
on the second thought. That is exactly what i'm going to do. One of my friends that i work with has an adapter for the jack to convert it to a trnny jack. I'll pull one header the driveshaft and pull the tranny back, so i can switch the plate and throw it back together.
When i'm done with that i'll put the next (last minute) new additions on.![]()
yes there is another part to the C4 backing plate.. it is the cover you take off to get to the torque converter bolts, it mounts to the bottom of the bell housing... you can see a dirt line on the backing plate bobby posted were the other part of the plate goes... if you were using the T5 backing plate before bobby how were you mount the torque converter to the fly wheel???
