How many times have you heard "but there is a Mustang on every corner"? I wish I had a dollar for every time cause I would have much more mod money:rock: When you hear it though it is usually comming from a someone drinking chevy flavor hateraid or some OTHER brand driver. I have come to the conclusion it is due to jelousy or just simple ignorance. At the piknic a new member to the club as well as Mustangs mentioned how before the new stang they didn't get out as much and now..a new life. Never has there been a group of enthusiast such as us..proud EXCITED Mustang owners. No matter where you go in the states there is a Mustang club and trust me when I say as many of us, I have been around. (insert jokes here!) Will never forget driving away from this killer restraunt this 5 year old looking up at his dad and going, "daddy..that's a mustang!". Ford has stuck with us since 1964 unlike other muscle cars who abandoned their owners throughout the years. I have never been more proud than now owning a Ford with the current situation and Ford being one of the few NOT to take the bailout and now prospering as a result. Ford isn't just a name..it was someone's last name and remains the last name of current owners and with that last name comes pride and thats clear still to this day. So in my morning happy soap box closing I would just like to say thanks to all the friends I have ever made in association through the Mustang and all the ones I will continue to meet through out the years to come. I've never felt more ALIVE  -Shane

i feel the same way dude,,, as im sure all of us do! man, my first car was a ford taurus, and that thing spoiled me!! it drove like it was two days off the lot!! but not knowing how shi*ty other cars were i sold it for an isuzu!!! and i went through my jap fase!! but in the end i came back to ford, because they make a car that not too many companies can compete with!! nowhere in the world, at least to my knowledge, is there a following for a car as ford has for not one but several of their platformes!! you alwayse hear people talkin bad about ford,,, but now especially in their recent prosperity, i havent heard one word said!! no one can say anything!! because their now the ones goin out and buyin their first fords!! and lovin it!! go ford, live long and prosper,,,, i think thats a quote from some geeker show, but what ever it applies right!!!!LOLOL!!!!:top:

Personally, I feel vindicated by the current economic situation. First and formost I am a Ford Man and have been my entire adult life. That Ford has not sold out to the liberal agenda is a constant source of personal pride. I have always believed in the Ford name and I feel that I have been proven correct. Mustang is the most recognisable car in the world! It is a very common sight, not because it is dime a dosen or run of the mill, it is because It sells well because of superior quality.

If it says anything - Myz and I are in love with our Mustang and we have been Toyota owners for over 12+ years. Never have I ever been more excited and proud to own a car in my entire life!

I started out my driving life with a Pontiac LeMan my parents owned, then when to my Chrysler/Dodge phase, then had a Chevy Camaro my junior and senior year in high school. Since then, I had owned a 240SX (with ricer mod), Honda Passport, Honda Civic, Acura TL. Then I got smart.....bought a Ford Ranger Edge, upgraded to a F-150, then an Explorer (until I rolled it), that's when I bought my Mustang. I have to say, buying the Mustang was one of my better decision. I have met some incredible people and have learned so much about cars that I have no clue about before. Mustang owners are, IMO, the most passionate about their cars, and some of the friendliest and classy people I have met. Keep it up, the Mustang legacy shall live on!

Of course there is a Mustang on every corner, there not all in the shop getting repaired. Just ask the Mercedes, Jaguar and BMW owners how often their car is in for maintenance. I've owned my Mustang for 21 years and it's been in "a shop" five times in its life and two of those were front end alignments. I have to admit that I do most of my own maintenance, but that's because I can. If I owned a high end model, I'd be in the waiting area with the rest of them. Mustangs are on every corner because they have earned that right!!!!

Mustang owners are a great bunch too... How many toyota or Honda etc.. owners do you see waving at other Toyota, Honda owners (total strangers) and getting a wave back? I do it in a mustang all the time! I see another mustang I wave, and 99% of the time they wave back (or wave first).
I remember back in 1998 I was driving round with my girlfriend in Va. Beach... She says out of the blue " what is it with you Mustang people?". I didn't realise I was doin it, but she noticed how much we wave at each other. She asked me "do you know that guy?". I said "no". (she drove a mitsubishi)... I get crap from haters too, they usually drive a ricer or some crappy car. I don't give them a response at all, I just smile... Then a mustang goes by, I wave, they wave back, and I move along happy and smug...
