don't bid on it right now... wait until the very last second to bid. if you bid early, you're just going to get outbid and bring the price up on yourself.

practice sniping... a.k.a. bidding within the last 5 secs. no time for anyone to counter. :)

ya but doesn't work out to well when someone else is already doing it or has a rolling bid

i usually bid the max i would for that item. if it's a rolling bid and i outbid him, i know i'm still within my target bid range.

usually ebay tells you to put your MAX bid and it will bid for you up to that max. if my max bid isn't enough to beat the current bidder, i stay away as i don't want to (what i think) overpay.

either way, waiting until the last 5 secs, usually works for me. i pay the price i want and no one else has time to counter if i get my bid in. bidding now will get some nutjob who's willing to overpay, to outbid you, and you'll either lose the item or have to overpay yourself to outbid him.

good tips Jay! i love pushing people rolling bid as far as i can so they have to pay more an item :)

patience is a virtue... i know some people want to have that item now, and unless it has a buy it now price, you could end up paying way more than you want just because you had to get a bid in early.

i know some people who have friends bid on their items JUST to bring the price up if it's not selling at the amount they want. be weary... there's a reason why people create ebay sniping programs. they want that final bid at the price they want to pay, and not give any nutjob willing to pay more than them a chance to do so.

that could be counter productive as they may push you to your max, and then you'd be on the ass end of the deal as they kept raising the bidding price.

had it happen a couple of times. you set your max bid too high and you could end up shelling out way more for what should be a cheap item. even the nutjobs on ebay have limits and raising that max bid too far up could bite you in the ass.

just bid up to the amount you'd be willing to pay, within the last 5-8 secs (depending on how fast you type / click... maybe more time needed), to ensure you either get the last bid, not pay too much, or find out that yes... there was a nutjob and yes... now you made him overpay as your highest bid now raised the price very high for him...

WHy do you need a new engine? because the stock GT motors all have the same problem right? Build yours so you know you wont end up witht the same problem.
