FRPP Cams Installed

Windveil Blues

OLD FART
The cams are installed. The timing looks right as far as TDC on number one and the cam lobes being where they're supposed to be on 1 and 5. All I have left to do is reassemble everything else... valve covers, coil packs, battery tray and battery (need a new battery, too), 15 million electrical connections. Everything is torqued to spec and I was able to make several full revolutions turning the engine over by hand. No binding or valves hitting pistons. I had to stop working on it yesterday because of bad feet and bad back. I am just getting too old to stand on a concrete floor bent over a damn car for any length of time any more. I'll finish it up and change the oil before I fire it Tuesday night. I'll post up some video then. 71 degrees here on Tuesday... Giddyup! Expecting severe thunderstorms, though... of course.

Emilio,

I'll post some pics when I get it finished up and get some video and audio shot tomorrow night. I did take a few as I went along. Too much family stuff going on the last week or so to work on it consistantly.

I know how you feel. Mine always take longer by yourself and when you have to work around plans. I'm glad I have a garage and second vehicle to drive If i have to.
