Getting Your Vehicle Ready For Tuning

maf is required to be after the blow and blow off valve if you have a blow off valve that blows to atmosphere because otherwise your metering air that didn't make it to the motor causing a rich condition. if you put it before the blow and recirculate the air before the blow but after the maf the air that was already metered still makes it to the motor

so in the end,,,, the air that is already metered has to eventually make it to the engine, and the air that has not yet bn metered cant be introduced after the maf along with air that hasbn metered!!

but if you have a posative displacement then it works a bit differantly,,,,

because the bypass is generally built into the compressor itself,,, where it can continuously recirculate between the inlet and outlet of the blower. this alows the maf to be mounted before the compressor, because obviously you cant mount it after

other wise for the posative displacement blowers that do not have a bypass, you have to rig one, to the lower mainfold where it can then bypass back to the inlet of the compressor, just as long as it isnt re introduced before the maf, because then it would be metered twice,,, and as gufi said,,,,, you dont want this!!
