Well it finally happened......
I LOST TO A CHEVY! I am sorry I have disgraced the club. I hope you all can find it in your heart to let me continue to be a member......
So I am coming out of my kids football practice and there is this nice looking Chevy in front of me. Well we both turn right at the stoplight onto a divided road....I pull into the left hand lane and the Chevy remains in the right....
Pull up beside at about 20 MPH. A couple seconds later I hit the gas as I hear the exhaust from the Chevy. I am in 2nd...yeah I wasnt in the powerband...So the Chevy gets the jump and pulls about a hood on me. I finally get into my powerband and start to pull even. Next thing I know, I am coming upto a shiftpoint and I have a bumper on the Chevy. I pull a quick shift to 3rd. That was all it took though as I lost a few feet on the Chevy shifting. After the shift I start to gain on the Chevy again. I get almost even(about a bumper behind) and the Chevy hits the brakes. We were at about 105 at that point. I did not know they were gonna shut down at 105 so I went on by and stopped at the light up ahead. The CHevy pulls up and rolls the window down. OH NO!!!!! It was a girl. Yep a girl....That is embarrasing. Anyway, the driver starts talking crap about my slow azz Stang and how they arent all that and all that stuff. I then just simply said....hey nice run. Wanna go from a stop? The girl shut the window and hauled donkeys.
Well the bad part is not that it was a Chevy. It wasnt that it was a Girl. The bad part was that I MAKE THE PAYMENT ON IT! Damn it the wifes Trailblazer SS is faster from a roll than I am. I guess I need some gears huh? I need to redeem myself by beating the tar out of that truck from a complete stop.
Just from driving it I knew from a roll I would have trouble against it but figured the way the Stang pulls hard in 2 and 3 would get me ahead of it. I was wrong. Stock 3.31 gears are not quick enough. She is a horrible driver and beat the Stang. I cant imagine what it would do with a good driver.
Anyway, I need to drown my sorrows and beg for your forgiveness on here....

At least the TB/SS had a WickedStangs.com Sticker on it....LOL
