prolly going with a strange full spool with c clip eliminators and get a new 3.73 gear, and may have to go 31 spline if they dont make 28 spline. I already have superior axles, but if I go 31 spline, I gotta buy new axles too.

Who here thinks that I won't be able to drive on the streets with a full spool? I want to go with a bullet proof rear end but still make it streetable. I don't wont to spend a fortune either. I always tend to break things launching on slicks. I want my car to be 80% drag and 20% street. But I'll have to drive it everyday till I get me a 2nd car. I want some feedback on what to do?

if you want a reason to buy new ones... how much for your 28 spline axles and 3:73 gears?

Do not drive on the street with a full spool. Risk to reward isn't worth it. I would go with an eaton or a detroit tru-trac. If you are going this deep into the rearend, sell the 28 spline axles and go 31 spline.

Wonder if I can use this with my 28 spline and just buy a rebuild kit and new gears.

Those will work, but if it was mine I would go 31 spline and be done with it. Why spend all of that money and then skimp on the axles?

Are you aware that you have to cut the axle tubes on your rearend when you use C-clip eliminators?

Yes, Will i still be able to use my disk brakes?
I may be in luck. My neighbor has a stock rearend that i can have. I'm going tomorrow to look at it. So i can use my housing and save and build a rearend. So I'll prolly go 31 spline axles, (either moser or superior) and eaton diff with new ford racing 3.73 gears. And go with a new girdle with braces and go with more braces. It will suck going back stock. But I will know that im saving for going bigger and better.

I had 31 spline mosers with c-clip elims, 3.73's and Eaton posi diff. in my 95'. I loved it. So to answer your question.........Yes you can use them with disc brakes. You just have to make sure you buy the right ones. :)

Can you help me find what i need to make it work? Send me the links on where to buy. Looks like I might not have the down time if this rearend my neighbor has works for me. Im bartering labor and hook up with lights that I can get at my work for him.
