Took my GT to Greer Drag Strip yesterday.:shift: Man we HAD A BLAST!!!
Went with my youngest son and his Buddy, they've been wanting me to race him (his buddy has a fox body he's been building) for months. My best run was 9.56@ 75 .
Sorry I have no pic's, I forgot the camera. Anyone know if that's a good time for a stock GT?

Anyways, "I love the smell of burning rubber in the afternoon"!!
Ah, I mean "In the morning"..

Awesome! Glad to hear you had fun. Automatic or stick? Danny (sdsubzero04) was running 9.8's in his auto before his 4:30 gear install. Now he runs 9.2's-9.3's.

Back to the question, lol! Is that a good time for a stock GT? Based off of Danny's times with the auto before the gears. I would say yes. That is a decent time. From the 9.5 I would also says it's a stick?

It's an auto, flowmasters and a k&n intake.
It was '83 and about 80% humidity (guesstimate) @ 8:30pm.

You need gears!!!!!! Your getting little power to the ground in that auto. I had an auto and went from the first mod of a metal mac CAI up to a Procharger and every bolt on you can think of. Best of 7.5 in the 8th. Gears are the best bang for the buck. I would go 4.10 best gear IMO for a strip street car. -Shan

The first time I ran mine when I got it I ran a 9.08(at Shadyside) or something like that. Bone stock, I had it for about 5 months at that point. After the rims, exhaust, TB, Plenum and CAI the best I could get was a 9.2(At Ware Shoals). 18's with Sumitomos suck for the track but they look so good.
