Phil and I both have 4:10s
We both have 100 HP power adders

So far, we are equal.

He has long tube headers
Lightweight radiator support
He's lightened the car substantially
And all the other mods I can't recall
He has a gazillion passes at the Q and Barona

And all that modification and experience got me by 6/100ths.

Kind of makes you wonder, huh?

I didn't lose, I came in 2nd place (1st loser!) LOL

All I can figure is, if I go to Race Legal alot, get long tube headers, shed weight in the car and go tubular in some areas, I can knock a whopping 6/1000ths of my ET.

Not gonna do it!

Don't care for drag racing THAT much!

I suppose that's the difference between a once in awhile thrill seeker (me) and a serious fanatic.

I can't be THAT serious all the time, there's no time to have FUN!

Well thats why there is a gas station by the Casino!!!!!

We need to have the drag strip portion for money in each class........each driver puts in 20 and best in class gets 75%.....the other 25% goes to paying for things at the event and awards....How is that?

Just mention racing and I am there but keep in mind that would actually end up costing most people 70 bucks to race........ Oh and I only had to pay 30 today. she seen my id card and said it was 30. Hope everyone else took advantage of that.

I have A TON of high speed pursuits under my belt. Also held the course record for a few years at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center road course. It's a Buttonwillow type course. Flat and lot's of curves.

But nothing as far a drag racing goes except 30 years ago on motorcycles.

You did miss a perfect day!

The weather broke for us and the temps were cool and pleasant.
The cars love cool dense air.

Nobody crashed, broke anything or got hurt.

The facilities were pretty nice considering how remote they are.

Lot's of good friends, good times and very few mistakes.

This could have been a real clusterf*** had it not been for the thoughtful planning and execution.

That is a cool video... Did anyone happen to get me racing 02GT? I was very excited after that one... I ran 8.2 to his 8.3 but the ending was much closer than me and Tims it was by a bumper. It was so close I thought he beat me till I got the white slip. I cannot wait till we all go out again. I think that gibs had a good idea for a purse or posibly just side betting but it would be hard to judge. I know I am not going to bet orange or y-sam that I could beat them.. I would like a chance at Aaron once I get my new tires. I think that would be a drivers race.. Was alot of great racing out there I cant wait till we do it again. I wouldnt mind going to Ca. Speedway if anyone wants too. We can run the 1/4 and see what times would be..
