GT400SC's TCI Ratchet Shifter Install

GT400SC

PM for Decals
Installed a TCI shifter today, here are the photos I took during the install. There will be a video near the end of the month shot during this install

Thanks a million to our member Paul Huizenga for hooking me up on this item. Paul also did the majority of the install and I was the pretty face for photos, LOL

This shifter is BAD ASS, guys! Can't wait to try it out on the track.

Actually, it was the other way around... You did most of the work. I just did the stuff under the car. In addition to the video, I'll have an article up on StangTV here in the very near future.

An easy upgrade overall, and the shifter looks great and works like it's supposed to. Makes me wish they made one for the 4R70W...

Tim looks great but... you do know that a Automatic is faster that a stick car right. There is know man that can shift faster than a auto. I have heard that The Auto cars are faster leaving in drive that shifting it... just my two cents. Its nice to have the reverse lock out. I would go in with your tuner and firm up your shifts now or add a shift kit. Would be fun to shift the fancy thing from first to second with the shift kit and bark the tires or in your case with the whipple fry the tires

Yeah, I'd like to go into the tune and mess with it but as I said MANY times, it's a Whipple tune and it's locked down and NO over the counter programmer can alter it.

The best way to utilize this shifter is to study your dyno sheets and determine at what RPM your peak HP is and shift manually at those points. This shifter actually justifies a shift light in an automatic! LOL

Not gonna do it though!
