Ok i got the 3m kit and try it out works pretty good. So i did pics to show it here so if you would like to try it and save some money! i got it off ebay for 21.00 shipped, but if you get it at the auto store its 25.so here we go!
the kit
the things in the kit and it has polish to
the headlight before starting to fog ,pitting, and a little yellow on top
first step tape painted parts and things you dont want to sand and put the p500 grit on first keep the drill flat or slight angle angle is the best i found out and start sanding light to medium pressure sand until yellowing pitting is gone dont stay in one place to long or the plastic will melt and smear not good
it will look like this when done
it will look frosted if you like what it looks like move on to next step
the kit has a thicker foam pad put it on and use the p800 grit again light to med pressure keep moving and sand until and the sand makers are gone from the p500 sand until you like the way it looks
it will look like this keep the thick pad on and put the p3000 on get a spray bottle of water and sand until you like the look taking out the p800 sand marks wet when it starts to dry out the water will turn to white slurry when the sand marks are coming out the smoother the better
last step put the yellow pad on and use the polish put a dime size spot on the pad and puff away it will turn out like this
not to bad it beats getting new lights after each step and while sanding take a paper towel and wipe off dust it helps the sand paper last longer it takes about an hour to do not to bad
