as every one knows, my car doesnt run for sh*it!! i have put a mmr 900 in it and a good blower!! but now i have a problem with my heads, theyre leaking oil like a mofo!! so i have to pull the head, but im lookin for advice seeing as how before i just pulled the motor out, and all the head work was done with the motor out of the car it was 100 times eisier to change out the heads than it will be this time around!! this time im doing the swap with the motor in the car, and in the parking lot of my condo!! so i need advice for the pull!! i have never pulled these huge bast*ards while the motor was in the car so i could use some advise from people that have done it with the motor in the car before!! now remember this is a modular dual over head cam motor not a little push rod!!! the heads are huge, and more than a pain in the ass to handle!! thanks in advane for all the help guys!!

well i wanted to throw up an update on the ole cobra, shes still sitting in the lot without an intake just waiting for me to pull the heads off and fix the gasket problem, i have plans on at very least pulling the head off next weekend. well thats the plan any way!! i should be able to get my hands on another set of gaskets, or maybe just one,,,,, fairly quickly, so she should be ready to rock ant roll soon!!! but i have a question, i want to make sure that the heads arent warped before i put them back on, is there a way i can be sure of this without paying someone a million bucks to tell me?? i've never really bn in this situation so im kinda shootin in the dark!!
another update, i decided to go in favor of more powerful heads!! my driver side head needed to be pulled, so ive done that and found that my retarted ass put the gaskets on the wrong sides (left on the right bank and right on the left bank)!!!! dont ask me how i did that, but it happened!!! the heads are in great shape, but i figured that vans stronger set up would also come with the benefits!! so theyre both comin off to make room for another set, that are ported, have fat cams, and a nice five angle valve job and over sized valves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! talk about sex!!!!!MMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!! any way the stock heads are up for sale in the classifieds if any one wants them or even knows someone who needs a set!!
yet again another update, the old heads are off, and im waiting on parts,,,,,,,,, yet again!! ive ordered finishing touches on the intake, vans heads, and a new gasket/ bolt set!! so as soon as they get here well be on the way, putting everything back together and starting her up yet again!! thats after new fluids are in place of course!!!
i am however looking for someone here in the club that can take a good look at vans heads though so that i can know for sure if there is anything that i need to fix before i install them!! so if there is anyone around that can give me a hand with this it would be greatly appreciated

i got vans heads and as most of you know they were so mangled in the shipping process that they were of no use to any one!!! except someone looking for a big paper weight!!!LOLOLOL!!!! so i have had my old heads machined. theyre back and ive installed the great cams that van had in his heads,,,,,,, prty much the only usable part of his heads!!!!!LOOL!!!!! so ill be installing them this coming weekend, if all goes according to plan!!!LOLOL!!!!! if theres any one that could help it would be greatly appreciated!!! all that needs to be done is installing the heads,,,, and timing the motor!!! then put the blower back on and start her up!!! HOPEFULLY!!! i just need one more gasket set and some fluids!!!! also im looking for someone with a decent dependable torque wrench that i could borrow for the next week or maybe two if things go south!!!! which with my luck is how its gonna go!!!LOLOL!!!!!

you should put a dollar in the jar each time you use an exclamation point! you could save up and buy a second car! lol. least you lucked out on the heads man. its frustrating to get that deep in a project and have th ings start to go wrong.
