Go to an AutoZone and have them clear your trouble codes... disconnecting the battery will not clear the codes in most cases. Also, if you have a tuner, you can clear your own codes as well.

and yes there was a bad plug and on of the wires had a white mark were i believe it had gotten burned by the header if im right, but i taped the wire for now and replaced the plug and runs much better, but the engine light is still on

its cleared it in every case i have done it on several vehicles.

Yes, diconnecting the battery for greater than 2 minutes will clear the code. Just most of us leave it off for 10 minutes because we can not tell time...LOL.

Yes, autozone is awesome when it comes to reading codes, clearing codes and stocking parts. :bc: Congrats on identifying and fixing the problem.

I would make sure to put some sort of fire retardent covering over the plug wires while you're at it too.

just go to autozone give them your drivers license and they elt oyu borrow a code reader check the codes write them down then clear them

the engine light went away on its own, the code is gone i have no idea why, i didn't disconnect the battery but its gone and it runs much better then befor
