Ok, there is a crank position sensor and it is part of the distributor assy. I replaced the entire distributor today with a brand new one and...... NO F-ing joy :( ! When I turn the key to start w/ out the clutch pushed in I can hear the fuel pump pressurizing the system so I dont think that is the culprit. Any other Ideas????? I cant figure this one out....

Well this is just my "work car". I only paid 1400 for it. Anyway they are normally pretty reliable. I am sure as soon as I work a few bugs out. It will be good to go.

Last night after the distributer replacement did not work I decided to search out an answer to the problem. So I tried this website where there are mechanics are online and answer your questions. There is a area where you can pay but you dont have to. Anyway this dealership Honda mechanic gave me a couple of things to check, I will let you know if it works.

Well here is the bad news.... I spent almost $300 on this problem of mine.

The good news is I finally know exactly what the deal is. It has a bad ignition switch! After talking to a mechanic friend, I noticed that when the car started and I released the key that it spung back just slightly farther than it was supposed to thus killing the engine.

This whole issue sucked and it pissed me off to no end but, its cool cuz I got it fixed and I learned alot in the process. Thanks to every one who put their 2 cents in on this thread. I appreciate it
