1) Heads Up: In each class 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 cars square off and the winner actually wins and moves on. Loser goes to test and tune

2) True Street: In each class 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 cars square off and the times recorded. The average time that is closest to the class speed is the winner?

Yose fluke 7.4, 7.6, 8.4 Avg 7.8
Screaming Yellow 7.7, 7.8, 7.8 Avg 7.7

You see the best car won...

I get 1st Yose get 2nd place...

We both ran the same amount of runs and did not get eliminated on the 1st round..

3) Staggered: Staggered Tree: Make 3 passes to establish class/time. Race on a staggered light on the tree to eqaulize cars within the class and whoever wins without breaking out moves on.

Hopefully this explains things a little better. Now, maybe some people will have their way...if not we'll have to vote again.

quit crying old man. :)

This should be discussed at Mustangs on the Beach and get the opinions of a very large crowd. We can even have a ballot. What do you think?

So let me get this right. To do true street and win you need the fastest average time closest to your class? So if my car's average is in the upper 9's like 9.7. I'll have no chance to win if someones car averages in the lower 9's like 9.2 in the 9 second class. If this is true then I like the staggered lights. Then it comes down to reaction time and shifting to win.

I sense someone is a little bitter? I really don't care how we run it as long as I'm getting a chance to race my car. Lets not think about winning trophies and just go out and have fun.

Remember the FUN part!!!!! Too many bickering about how it is run. Whatever it is, go out and do your best and have fun.

I went with Staggered Tree

Mostly because if you run such wide classes.... say 9.0 to 10.0, it makes True Street to unfair. It is to wide of a class. And if break up the classes up, it makes it to hard to manage.

Staggered is more about how well you know your car and can drive it. It is just you against the track.

If you run True Street, you might as well just send me the trophy now, because I will be taking home the 9.0 class. I run 8.99 to 9.03 all day, everyday in my truck. Not to psych you guys out or anythng

Not to worry, I will have my other two cars there as well. Hoping to be get into the 6's with 98 Cobra. And may have the wife drive the GT500 and she is better at racing then I am.
