I could use some guidance

Ok guys I have been saving up money for my car for a while now. The problem is I don’t know what to do next. My car is an automatic so I was considering a mild stall converter but the car is also my daily driver and I want keep it very liveable on the street. Another thing I was considering is a stroker kit and the thinking behind that was I could get forged internals and add some life to the motor. As well as up the boost a bit. The car has over 78,000 miles on it now and has had the Vortech on it since 68,000 miles so the fact the this car is getting to the higher mileage is always in the back of my mind. I know there is a big price difference between a stroker kit and a stall converter im just trying to get my thought process down so you guys can understand it better and point out any mistakes. Im feeling very lost so any guidance you guys can provide is much appreciated.

i just ordered a MMR 600, but honestly suspension is huge, i cut 2/10's off so far since i got my upr k member, car runs 7.9's all day long probably the best suspension mod yet that i have done, other wise get a 3.33 pulley an ebay intercooler(yes they work fine) with piping and and get a new tune...you'll be rockin out like a mother....

Get a converter and suspension. If I had exhaust I would drive mine on the street everyday with a 4500 stall converter. They only stall high when you romp on the gas. otherwise they drive like normal. You just have to make sure you get a real good tranny cooler when you get a "smaller" high stall converter. A good converter will cost $800, but will be well worth it!

IMO. go with suspension and a stall before you do the block. sure your safer when you want to make more power but you can definatly get more out of your car with its current setup with the rest of the picture. plus when you do finally get that big daddy block in there its already done and you can adjust as required for more power down the road instead of being pissed off that you spent so much and didn't gain as much as you could have just by tuning your suspention to match the mods

Post a dyno graph, so we can see what kind of stall you will likely need. A torque converter should be custom made for your application. You can't buy a converter from summit and expect it to stall where you want it to. A converter is very complex and there are a lot of variables that go into getting the stall right. I recommend you get the car weighed before trying to buy a converter. There is a place right by my house (El Cajon) where you can do this.

Waiting on the dyno graph.......

Unless I'm mistaken the average stall for a street/strip car is between 2800-3200 so a 3000 might do you fine. No experience with what Orange is talking about so he knows more than me on this.-Shane

i found the graph. according to the graph the torque peaks at 383 4,510 rpms and then starts to fall off.

honestly i dont think you can't go wrong with a convertor, but every bit helps though...
