I figured out what car I want.

I want to get a 2002 GT. Want to get a bone-stock one so I know it hasn't been beaten to death, and I can do my own upgrades. First thing I'm going to do is get rid of the rice hood, and throw one of the older GT model hoods on (No scoop). Then I'm going to do an exhaust + header upgrade and just drive that around for 6-7 months so I can get used to using a manual transmission again, also because I need to get used to an rwd with a lot of power! Then after that, I want to put a super charger on it. I don't know too much about them, so I'll be researching those when the time comes...

So now, I need to still find a full time job. I've sent my resume to a few places, but haven't heard back. Going to find a few more tonight on cl hopefully. But I'm going to save 95% of my checks for this thing for a few months so I can get a good down payment.

And I'll probably be keeping the capri for a backup and for my little brother.

Wow, am I seriously looking at +262hp if I run at 14psi? What else would I need to do to run that much boost?

That's just crazy.

So I'm looking at about 5k for the supercharger. But If I really am able to just about double the HP with it, it's well worth it.

I would try and find a newer model, the 04's can be had for cheap too. Probably be a good idea to wait and see if you can find something with mild upgrades, you'll save the extra cash if you don't have to do them your self.

Really? It's going to be a few months before I am ready to even look into actually purchasing because of the job situation. I guess a few upgrades on it would help the cost some.

Yeah, Well, I guess I can blow it up or something on day 44. Then cash in on the insurance money. And buy another one :D Rinse and repeat!

with a v-8 there's little to no turbo lag unless your running 2 monster 88mm turbos, or some other crazy combo. and the stock blolcks on 99-04 gt's are good up to 430 rwhp. after that you might want a stronger block.

03-04 machs can be had for under 20k also. just found one in national city for 17 and had the guy talked down to 14k+ tax title and lic. so it woulda been about 17k out the door. nev er pay asking price you can always talk them down if you are patient enough.

Alright guys, when I have enough money to SERIOUSLY start looking at cars, and have been at a job long enough where I know I can't walk in one day and have them suddenly tell me they don't need me anymore. I'll consider your guy's cars first. And if I do find something on my own, I'll let you guys know, and maybe someone can come look at it with me. Thanks for the help!
