I have an idea for the Wicked Stangs Toys for Tots delivery!!!

I actually have an Idea! I am not sure if this could be possible but I think it would be a really good way to promote the site and help the kids at the same time. Could we do a wicked stangs car show that day but here is the twist. If the VFW could figure out how many kids there would be receiving toys we could divvy them up in the cars. The kids could be shown a print out of all cars there and vote for their favorite Mustang. The kids would essentially be picking what car they would receive a gift out of. The only downside to this would be that they would have to come to the VFW to get the gifts. Or another approach would be for the kid to pick his/her favorite Stang and that stang would be the one to drop off the toy and maybe the kid could get a picture or two with/inside the cars. I dont know maybe this has too many moving parts but I was trying to make it a lil more interesting. Let me know what ya'll think.

I would do all the co-ordinating for the event if need be as long as the VFW is good to go with it.

Other suggestions or ideas would be helpfull as well or if you think I have lost my mind.......I probably have.
I was thinking we could either make a thread with a little info about our cars with a few various pictures or even make a board with actual pictures and discription and leave it at the VFW. The only thing I am unsure about is if the VFW knows who the kids are or if they are just going to give them to random kids.

um thats a good idea except for the part were the kids vote for their fav car and recive the gift from that car, because u simply run out of presents and some of us wont get a vote because kids like to follow the cool kid lol they will all vote for the same car or maybe 3 cars will be the top picks and every one else mabey if lucky one vote lol get what im saying

Ya know I thought about that but I also thought about the fact that most of the younger kids wont have a clue what they are looking at. Here is what I was thinking.....If a kids favorite color is green...... are they going to vote for me? Probably not. They will vote for the one they like the most. The older kids might vote for what they think is fastest but will they be old enough to really know how fast a Cobra is???? I dont think it would turn out that way and if it does then we could deal with it in a different way.

Or we could have an all kid car show with the kids picking the winning car. That car would then drive away to a undisclosed location and get loaded up with presents and return to have the kids see the car with the presents in it if they come to the VFW. If not and we have to deliver then the winning car would get the honors of leading the pack of Stangs. Either way it makes it fun for everyone.

Keep in mind all. I have no idea yet exactly what the VFW was planning on doing either. They may have a totally different plan. This is right now JUST a plan.

I was thinking that if we al get together and deliver the toys we could pretty much do a show right in front of there house, and the kids could take pictures with there favorite car. I think the VFW actualy wants to deliver them. Te best thing to do is to get in touch with that lady from VFW and run your idea by her

Hey Sam, great idea. Just wondering what area will the toys be delivered to, is it in Ramona, or other area. If there is going to be a car show prior to the delivery, should have it near where the toys will go, so those children can come. But I like the idea and again showcase Wickedstangs as a community service organization and promote our love.

This is the VFW's shindig. If it were me arranging to participate with the VFW, I would contact the Post and see how WS could integrate itself into their Toy delivery.

I totally agree with him now that I think about it. We supplied the toys but they want to give them out. I applaud them for doing that. Here is my suggestion.


Is it possible to do another toy drive and have our own no kidding Wicked Stangs toy drive? I know that money is tight for everyone so I will not get mad or think down on anyone if they say they cant afford to give someone elses's kids that many dollars worth of presents. I know I spent almost 50 bucks on the two toys I bought for theirs. IS THIS SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE FEASABLE. Emmelio can we do a poll on this please. If we have enough volunteers I will figure out our own Wicked Stangs Mustang Club event and have all my Jarheads at the squadron donate as well.

I might even be able to coordinate it with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program and have some devil dogs in dress blues attend if need be but they will make Emellio's car look bad LMAO.
