have fun installing those long tubes... and good luck on ever replacing your starter if it goes out ( and it will eventually ) you'll also need a new X or H pipe to go with them.

the reason i wanted the long tubes is i got a new bbk shorty off-road h pipe the other night for twenty bucks and i am in the middle of building this car and i have to replace the transmission so its up on my lift at home with the tranny out so i figured nows the time

i guess when it comes to the LT's its a matter of how much do you want to spend on them....

no i meant that my trans is bad so i have it on my lift with it out right now while im waiting on my new one so i figured it my be easier to put the headers on now with the trans and starter out of the way

personally I would prefer equal lenths or mid length so it'll still be easy to change clutches. Not worth the 5-9 hp gain over shorties or mid lengths to deal with the extra work takes to change a clutch with longtubes.
Anyways. If you do still want to do this, Ive put them on a 2000 gt, and it might be easier pulling the motor. Tooks like 6-8 hrs. But that was in my dads garage with just floor jacks.
