They have 1/4" in tread, not 1/4 of the original tread.
That means they have 8/32 tread out of a new 11/32 tread. (about 73% TREAD RMAINING)

Damned near new!

For $200, buy everything, remount the wheels and sell the rims to recoup part of your expenses.

No brainer. Near new tires for $50 a pop PLUS you sell the rims that came with them and make back part of your $$$!

I gave him the perfect ad from Craigslist. The EXACT size he was looking for with 70-75% tread for $200 for FOUR tires. They were already mounted on Jeep wheels but hey, take the whole setup to Preston's Tires and they will swap everything for less than $100 (mounted and balanced). Then, sell the Jeep rims for $50-$75. That would about cover the mounting and balancing costs.

so your saying spend 200 plus 100

for a total initil cost of 300

then sell the rims for at most 75 for a

total out of pocket expense of

$225

or go buy a set of used tires mounted and ballanced for a total of

$80-$160

I called the guy about the tires from the add and he said they were pretty worn out. NOT 1/4 inch left. He was supposed to get better tread pictures and actually measure how much was left for me and call me back and never did. i appreciate you sending me think. It was appreciated.

ive bought used tires before and you get good tires. I bought continental cont sport 2's for my roush before i ordered my nittos. deffinately check them out. I had difficulties finding my size because of 18" and the width of being 285 but most people find there tires very very easilly

oh and since they are 15" you are pure money finding those tires used with alot of tread left on them
