Hey Wicked Stangs,
I'm back from Vegas and it was heck of a trip. Our department did real well for Baker to Vegas. In case y'all don't know what Baker to Vegas is, its a all Law Enforcement running relay race, its a 120 mile race between Baker, CA to Vegas. Its a 20 stage relay through the mountains and each legs varies between 4.5 to 8.5 miles of either flat, uphill, downhill, or combo, depending on the legs you run. This year there were 260 teams including teams from Canada and Germany. Our team took first place in the Mixed Division (second year in a row) with a time of 15h 34 min and finished 34th overall. I'll post a few pictures I have from the course Saturday night when I get home from work.
I also went to the Shelby HQ museum. Took a tour of the factory and took some pictures, I'll post those up Saturday night also. I also met one of their inspector for Shelby motor. He test drive all the Shelby products. I gave him one of my card and he said he'll check in. He also plan on visiting San Diego and like to meet some of the WS members and their car. Maybe if we make a good impression, we can have a contact at Shelby motor. Never know......
