I Have An 03 Gt, I Have Spintech Super Street Mufflers With A X-pipe To Regulate The Flow, But I Want My Car Louder, I Went To A Muffler Shop And This Guy Has Got Some Really Nice Tips, Chrome Or Polished, Dont Know What One I Want, He Said He Will Charge Me 40 Bucks Installed For Each One, Was Size Do I Go With What Is A Good Brand And Emelio Do You Know If You Can Give Me A Good Deal On Some Tips, He Said It Will Give It A Louder Rumble And If I Want Louder After That Then I Need To Go With Single Chamber Mufflers. So Can Anyone Help Me Out?????

well dude. i have flowmaster single chamber race mufflers on my cobra and with those alone the car is pretty freaking loud, and also 4in tips. if you want super loud go with some headers pull off the cats, put an o/r x pipe on there go with one of these three systems. SLP, Bassani or the flowmaster single chambers into some 4inch tips and the car will prolly get you pulled over for being too loud. but if that is what you are looking for then there you go. even without headers x pipe w/o cats and one of those systems will make it loud.

Tips would be the way to go for now untill you are ready to change mufflers. I would also look into taking it to just a welding shop to save a few dollars. They can tach them on cheap. Cheaper than 40$ a piece that is for sure. My friend has a trailblazer that he ran 1 inlet to 2 outlet muffler for dual exhaust. He has 3 or 4 inch chrome tips and it sounds nasty. Its louer than my JBA's I can ask him if they are 3 or 4. I would probaly got 3 just because 4 may look kinda getto because u dont see it on mustangs that is more for a truck

ok well im gonna go with polished i gues im still debating on the size, i have to ask the guy what size he showed me because the one he showed me fit the cutout that comes stock with the 03 gt's where the stock pipes go. stock theyre is some space still left over in the cutouts, but the pipes he showed me he said will fill up the gap, so do you guys think 40 bucks for each tip including instalation is to much, maybe you guys misunderstood me when i said 40 bucks each i meant thats the cost for the tip and installation. hey southern mustang what kind of deal can you give me, also emelio what kind of prices can you get from our performance shop, i would rather go with you just so it stays in the club. please let me know thanks you guys

dude. i've got 4 in. tips on my 01 cobra. same rear bumper cover only mine says cobra on it. same cut outs. with the 4inchers there is about a 2-4 centemeter gap still. plenty of room for them. yeah dude $40 bucks each is a hell of a deal. i pay'd $70 each for mine.

and dont listen to phil. i have 4 inchers on mine. he has seen them. i know of like 3 more stangs with 4's on them. hell my 01 GT had 4's on it.
I would never pay that much for a simple spot weld like that though. If you take it to a reg shop that does weldingthey can tach them on for you.
Navy Money: Check this out guys. Today we started preparing for the Nimitz to pull into port. We started cleaning there supply warehouse up ect. We threw away so many parts today including 2 DYNOMETERS (new) they are 3-5000$ a piece. We used them at NAS Lemoore for pulling dynos on shore based arresting gear. Tax payers money down the drain I seen it first hand. I took 4 things of welding rods they gave me. I priced a small box at home depo for 22$ I got 10x the amount for free. I got 4 cases of 1/32 rods and one case of 3/32nd rods They where going to toss them so I asked If I could take them. Now I just need some leather gloves and angle iron I am going to make a new welding bench for my garage.

when i first got my car, all i did was make my stock h and off road h, dont gut the cats, just get a pipe welded in place, really big difference decimal wise

doing the cats first intead of the tips will give you that extra rumble, i guess thats not a bad price
