Installing 3.73 Gears

I'll be heading to the Miramar Hobby Shop on Saturday to change out my stock gears. I've never attempted a gear change out before, but I have the install kit and a book to follow. If anyone can offer some assistance, I'd appreciate the help.

Good luck with gear install. I would never attempt to do a gear install. CPR did my gear install. They mostly work on mustangs. Mine was the first S197 the did a gear install on, but they have done gear installs on other mustangs. Justin, the installer did an outstanding job. He is takes his time and is very meticulos (SP). Even though it took about 5.5 hrs he only charged me for 5 hrs.

CMON guys installing gears aren't that hard.. With the right tools you can do anything. And he is going to the Auto Hobby Shop they have all the right tools, I did both my old school mustangs there and never had a problem.

Sounds like a great plan. I'll put it off until Sunday so we can get pics and place it in the magazine. I'd like to knock it out in the morning and save the rest of the day for football. Today I cleaned up all the gear surfaces and checked the threads (slightly used). They are in good shape and I'm ready to toss these stock gears to the curb.

Emilio and Al, what time is best for you on Sunday?
