I know it's late notice, but if anybody wants to go drag racing tonight, I'm going to be at Irwindale from about 4pm on...
60-foot times are mediocre - 2.121 was the best I did last night, and that was on the 9.27 pass. Most of the time, the car just dead-hooks, unless I did a bad peg leg burnout or the track is bad. I stall the car up as high as it will go at the line (2100 rpm) with a combination of the pedal and parking brake, then just dump it. It will hang on the converter out past the tree, then the nitrous clicks on as the wheel speed catches up with the engine and the RPM goes past 2200.
Since I don't want to spray the car below the converter stall, I think my 60-foot times aren't going to get much better unless I go to a shorter tire or put more gear in.
It was a zoo. I was there from 3:30 to 10 and got a total of five passes, and that was "hot lapping" straight back into the lanes.
On the up side, the car ran really well. 9.27 on the 50-shot, 9.17 on the 75, and there's room for improvement since I was being conservative with the window switch because I didn't have the right tune in the computer.
if i remember right you were running on 16's(room for improvment), what gear size you run right now??? I would put 4.30's (if they make them for the 7.5 rear). Im thinking about doing 4.30's when and if i buy a daily driver truck. Have you looked in to getting a stall convertor?
