is a 9 sec street car fast?

I just read on a few forums that SOME people don't consider a 9 second street car fast. I'm sure these guys run high 11's or some bullshit, but really, please. 9 seconds is smokin IMO for a street car. I think 10's is fast, 11's is competitive and 12's are respectable. 13's are fairly average, but faster than an average joe's car.

What are your opinions?

I agree with you completely on all points. In fact, it is very difficult to KEEP an 8 or 9 second car streetable and legal and be able to be light enough to get those et's.

Thats it Emilio Order my cams, super charger, Nos kit, find me a shop for some head work. Oh yeah I almost forgot lets cage it and mini tub the rear end. Then I may have a respectable street car.. I am guessing mid 10's low 11's That should make it respectful..LOL

THEN LETS SEE WHAT MELBA TOAST IS PACKIN

I put my headers, x-pipe and pulleys on all at the same time, so I don't really know, but I can tell you they all collectively made one helluva difference...;)
