<div>Car enthusiasts are an odd bunch. We spend tens of thousands of dollars, countless hours, and immeasurable amounts of agony putting together our rides, and often for very little recognition. And that is just fine by us. But for those who truly change and improve the industry, like Jack Roush, a good bit of recognition is nice every now and then.<br />

Thus the <a href="http://nmpaonline.com/" target="_blank">National Motorsports Press Association</a> is inducting four new members into their Hall of Fame, <a href="http://blog.roushperformance.com/blog/2010/01/jack-roush-to-be-inducted-into-nmpa-hall-of-fame.html" target="_blank">including the venerable Mr. Roush</a>. <br />

Jack Roush got his start in the motorsports industry way back in 1966, working at Ford for four years. He also spent a short stint at Chrysler before founding his own company. He made many race-worthy parts for teams and also sold them to the public, spreading his name and popularity across racing circles. He then founded Roush Performance in 1995, which sells Roush-branded F-150’s and Mustangs among others. Roush has also been a leader in alt-fuel technology by pursuing propane power for certain trucks, and even two Mustang drag racers.<br />

In addition to being inducted into the NMPA Hall of Fame, Roush is also opening membership for the yet-unnamed Roush performance enthusiasts club.
