I can't believe this after saying people are going to try to make it then saying something come up so they can't go was aggravating but when they do something elsein the time frame of what is causing them to miss this event I get pissed. If you don't want to go don't make up bull excuses. I am disgusted and disappointed with a few ws members and I will remember this for future events

I'd have to agree....
With how many people said they were planning on going and then the morning of, people back out with some excuse, it does get very frustrating ! We did have a nice little turn out and I'm happy with the people that did go, they are dedicated !

All, as it may sound, it did not happen that way... In Subzero defense I asked him to help me prepare for our event that was posted a long time ago the boxing event schedule for today. I did not get word until Aqua 50 busted my bubble and PM'd me that the fight was resheduled.. CWO just came back from a month underway. And 1BADPNTO contacted me yesturday and told me that my gears were in. I asked CWO to install them in the AM and we will have time for the fight. Well, in the morning I went to Bobbys house to go and pick the gears up and bearing kit.. Well the gears were the only thing to arrive and I still needed the bearing kit. So everyone decided to meet at my house for our Board members meeting. We contacted JBA to see if JBittle has time so we could discuss or plans for the WSRC and that is when he invited us over.. We did not mean to miss your event. Just so much come up. Again Sorry about that..

JBA has decided to start burning dogs and inviting customers out on Saturdays to discuss future projects. They were doing dyno pulls (2) for $45. Like Emilio said, "wasn't planned, just heard about it this afternoon".

we were literally sitting in the kitchen. During our meeting Emilio called JBA to ask questions about a project and thats when he found out they had a small event happening. We were just there on Tuesday at the monthly meeting and didn't even know then.

Wasn't Central. It was Inland Empire. There was the Big Bear cruise/BBQ. I suppose some SD member(s) RSVP's (or showed interest) and couldn't go in the end.
I didnt make it to either event.....
Event A: Big Bear- no money but would have loved to come to that one.
Event B: JBA- Didnt know about it.
Had an meeting for the little ones football and cheer, followed by a funeral for the neighbors kid...... and visitors to my house.
I will make all the events next time I promise.

I know I don't understand everything that is going on in the club, but WOW!
I will say from my involvment with the club that alot happens last minute. You guys all know each other and visit others houses. Because you all live close to each other. Which I completely understand. So it is easier for you guys to involved on a more regular basis.
My point, when you live 30+ miles away from things and own you own business, you really have to plan for things like weeks ahead.
I think I speak for many members when I say this. It takes time and money to be involved. We all have a lot of fun together and when an event pops up on the forum, you think...wow that sounds like fun and I think I can do that. The intention is there, so you CLICK "yes" on the event. And as much fun as we all have together, this is a hobby and many times when the (responsiblity) of real life steps in, unfortunately we have to give up something. Not enough money, a kid gets sick, you get called out on duty, or in my case a computer crashes at work. So my recommendation is, members should be a little more realistic before they commit and members who put on the event need to be a little more understanding of the realities of peoples lives and plan somewhat for this.
We all want a good turn out of members at events. Especially if you worked hard to put all together. But come on, we do this for fun, not because we are obligated to do it.
Just my opinion.....which you guys KNOW i have plenty of!

I second what you said as for real life jumping up at you. I seem to remember lots of events that had many people coming out to them and only 5 would show. OH WELL make the best of it with those that are there.....then post pics and brag at the good time everyone had.
Just my opinion....LOL
